New Creative Coding School

We are pleased to be able to offer free courses to 16-28 year olds who wish to learn how to program games and entertaining apps for mobile iOS devices.

No prior coding experience is required; as the course is designed to introduce beginners to the concept of designing and creating entertaining Apps. Successful students will finish the course having successfully created their very own fully-fledged title. What’s more they will leave the course with a recognised qualification.

The course began in September 2015 and aims to train 20 students, free of charge. The course is aimed at under 28’s and is designed to offer those, who wouldn’t necessarily get such an opportunity, a genuine chance to learn some of the skills required to develop a career in the creative digital industries.

All this is possible thanks to the generosity of the Colyer-Fergusson Charitable Trust who recently awarded us £48k to kickstart the programme and help us to deliver something truly exciting and innovative here on Sheppey.

Our thanks go out to the trustees and the trusts management team for sharing in our vision and for doing so much to help local communities in Kent.
