Virgin Startup Appoints Founder as Mentor

Innov8 On Sheppey’s Founder becomes and Virgin Startup Loan Mentor

Richard Branson’s non-for-profit Virgin Startup business provides access to personal business loans for 18-30 year olds setting up in business.  Virgin Startup are an official partner of the Governments Startup Loan scheme, and their role is to identify the best business opportunities for the Governments Business Loan fund to support.

In order to help ensure the success of the new startups, the entrepreneur is matched with a business mentor with suitable skills and experiences. The mentors give their time freely and are there for the entrepreneur to bounce ideas off, draw upon past experiences and to help them broaden their scope of thinking.

Andrew Deeley, our Founder said, “It made total sense to sign up as a Virgin mentor. I had a long chat with the team who select the mentors for the programme and I felt that the Virgin approach for inspiring innovative thinking and supporting business startups was very similar to our approach.”
